Paranaque mayor joins relief efforts for fire victims
Mayor Eric L. Olivarez of Parañaque City extended a helping hand to 72 families who were affected by a recent fire in Regalado St., De Guzman, and Quirino Avenue. He was joined by Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez and Barangay Don Galo Captain Marilyn Burgos in the distribution of financial assistance to the affected families.
The fire, which broke out on March 27, 2023, left many families homeless and in dire need of assistance. Mayor Olivarez, together with Congressman Olivarez and Barangay Captain Burgos, immediately coordinated with the local government's disaster management office to provide aid to the affected families.
The relief efforts were focused on providing immediate financial assistance to help the families rebuild their homes and start anew. Mayor Olivarez stressed the importance of swift action in times of crisis, stating that "we need to act fast to provide relief and support to our fellow citizens who are in dire need. We cannot turn a blind eye to their suffering."
Congressman Olivarez also expressed his support for the affected families, saying that "we are committed to doing everything we can to help these families get back on their feet. We will work together with the local government to provide them with the necessary assistance to rebuild their homes and their lives."
Barangay Captain Burgos, for her part, thanked the local officials for their prompt response to the crisis. She emphasized the importance of community spirit in times of adversity, stating that "we need to come together as a community to support our fellow citizens in their time of need. The help that we provide today will go a long way in helping these families rebuild their lives."
The relief efforts were met with gratitude by the affected families, who expressed their appreciation for the assistance provided by the local officials. They expressed hope that they can soon rebuild their homes and start anew with the help of the government and their community.
