Paranaque victims extend aid to fire victims
Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City - In a display of solidarity and compassion, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez and District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez jointly visited Fourth Estate Subdivision this afternoon to personally assess the situation of more than 500 families affected by yesterday's fire incident at Hontiveros Compound.
During their visit, the city mayor and the esteemed congressman personally inquired about the condition of the fire victims currently residing temporarily in the Area 1 Covered Court and San Antonio National High School. They listened attentively to their concerns and offered words of encouragement.
Mayor Eric and Congressman Edwin wasted no time in extending immediate financial assistance to address the immediate needs of the affected families. The financial aid will be allocated for their food expenses during this challenging time.
Furthermore, Mayor Eric expressed his commitment to return and provide additional essential assistance such as food packs, clothing, mats, blankets, and hygiene kits. Recognizing the urgent requirements of the fire victims, the local government aims to extend comprehensive support to help them rebuild their lives.
Meanwhile, the City Social Welfare and Development Department, led by Ms. Vivian Gabriel, is conducting a thorough validation process to determine the exact number of residents affected by the fire. This meticulous effort ensures that accurate data is obtained, enabling the local government to effectively allocate resources and provide targeted assistance to those in need.
Accompanying the esteemed officials during the visit was the leadership of Barangay San Antonio, headed by Barangay Chairman Leopoldo "Pol" Casale. Their presence demonstrated the collaborative efforts between the barangay and the local government to provide immediate relief and support to the affected residents.
