Kadiwa store brings affordable goods to Paranaque residents
On Friday, April 28, the Kadiwa mobile store arrived at Parañaque City Hall to offer affordable goods to the residents. The mobile store, organized by the city government and the Consumer Welfare Office under the leadership of Ms. Millan Alcaraz, showcased the lettuce olmetie variety, a type of lettuce sold by Sandy Nera and Gabriel Paul Serrano, who are beneficiaries of the Young Farmers program in Region 4-A.
The Young Farmers is a program of the Department of Agriculture that encourages young people to participate in agri-fishery enterprises by proposing their business ideas. If their business pitch is approved, they will be provided with financial assistance to realize their business.
Aside from the lettuce olmetie variety, the Kadiwa mobile store also offers various vegetables and fruits from Benguet and Bulacan. The initiative aims to provide affordable goods to Parañaque residents while promoting the produce of local farmers.
Mayor Eric L. Olivarez expressed his support for the Kadiwa mobile store and the Young Farmers program, recognizing the importance of agriculture in the country's economy and the need to empower young people in this sector.
The Kadiwa mobile store will continue to visit different barangays in Parañaque to provide affordable and quality goods to residents, especially during these challenging times.
