The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange has served at least seven million passengers since it opened its doors in November 2018.
With the help of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board chairperson Martin Delgra III, Megawide corporate affairs chief Jason Torres, and PITX general manager Mariano Arroyo Jr., Transportation Undersecretary Mark de Leon on Friday gave media a tour of the terminal.
During the tour, the transport officials said services at the PITX had vastly improved in eight months.
It can be recalled that the PITX had a rough start with public transport companies complaining about being forced to route their buses through the terminal and commuters complaining about shelling out additional fares just to catch a ride to other parts of Metro Manila.
The PITX serves as the start-and-end terminal of buses coming from Cavite. From the terminal, commuters coming from the province take another bus, or jeepneys, to different destinations within the National Capital Region.
