Olivarez addresses Tulong Panghanapbuhay Program beneficiaries

Parañaque City Mayor Eric L. Olivarez demonstrated his support for the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program by attending the culminating activity of Batch 10 beneficiaries held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex on March 27, 2023. The TUPAD program, in partnership with the office of District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, aims to provide temporary employment opportunities to individuals who were affected by natural disasters or those who are vulnerable to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 299 beneficiaries participated in Batch 10 of the TUPAD program, where they underwent skills training and were assigned to various community works such as cleaning and maintenance of public areas, construction and repair of local infrastructure, and other related activities.

Mayor Eric L. Olivarez commended the beneficiaries for their dedication and hard work in the program, which not only helped improve their financial situation but also contributed to the betterment of their community. He emphasized the importance of empowering people through employment and skills development programs, especially during these challenging times.

The TUPAD program is one of the initiatives of the Department of Labor and Employment to provide immediate assistance to affected workers and their families. Through the program, beneficiaries receive daily wages and are insured under the Government Service Insurance System.

Mayor Eric L. Olivarez expressed his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment and Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez for their support in implementing the program in Parañaque City. He also pledged to continue supporting employment and livelihood programs that will benefit the people of the city.
