Parañaque City Hall’s Legislative Building held a random drug testing program yesterday, March 26, 2023, where 101 employees of the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) participated under the leadership of Mr. Rey Murillo. The program was witnessed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Parañaque City Director, Ms. Alona R. Raymundo.

The Parañaque Anti-Drug Abuse Office (PADAO) under Executive Director Andres M. Altarejos and the City Health Office under Dr. Olga Z. Virtusio managed the random drug testing, which is a regular program implemented by the local government unit of Parañaque. It began on November 15, 2022, and is still ongoing.

The drug testing is part of the local government unit’s drug-free workplace ordinance, and various offices and employees have already participated in the program, including department heads, Padao employees, Padao Holding and Diagnostic Center (HDC) staff, Urban Mission Areas Development Office (UMADO) workers, and employees from Ospital ng Parañaque II (OSPAR II), among others.

The drug testing program aims to ensure that the employees of Parañaque City Hall are free from drug use and addiction, promoting a healthy and safe work environment for everyone. The local government unit of Parañaque remains committed to the implementation of programs and initiatives that will help maintain the welfare of their employees and promote a drug-free society.
