Paranaque mayor delivers report
Despite the cloudy and rainy weather, the flag-raising ceremony was successfully held this morning at the Treasury Lounge in Parañaque City Hall. The event was led by the Parañaque Health Plan Office under the guidance of Dr. Ma. Loreleigh S. Obed. Mayor Eric L. Olivarez delivered a report on the successful programs that were completed in the past week. Among the programs mentioned by the mayor was the Gender and Development (GAD) planning and budget formulation, which discussed the programs, projects, and budget of the city government for the year 2024.
Aside from this, the local government of Parañaque also joined in the celebration of Women's Month by organizing the "Juana Be Pampered" event led by the City Social Welfare and Development Department under Ms. Vivian Gabriel and the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office under Ms. Marlette P. Yamsuan. The program for women continued with the Women's Workers Forum and Mini Job Fair led by the Public Employment Service Office under Mr. Henry R. Leonardo.
The local government of Parañaque also provided assistance to residents affected by the water shortage from March 5 to March 7 by rationing water in affected areas. In addition, the city government provided free rides to commuters during the transport group's recent strike.
Mayor Eric also proudly announced the distribution of clothing allowances to Parañaque City Hall employees this week. The mayor also shared the programs and projects that the city government will undertake in the coming weeks, including the blessing and inauguration of city infrastructure every Friday and a community baptism in March. The city government also continues to plant trees and plants in schools, universities, and major thoroughfares in the city.
