This morning, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez supervised the deployment of vehicles for the free ride service provided by the local government for commuters. The free ride service is part of the mayor's care for commuters amid a week-long transport strike by various transport groups from March 6 to 12, 2023.

According to Mayor Eric, more than 60 government vehicles are currently plying the major roads in the city, including Dr. Arcadio Santos Avenue, East and West Service Road, Quirino Avenue, Baclaran, and Kabihasnan. In addition, the mayor instructed the use of e-trikes from homeowners associations to transport passengers to their workplaces and destinations, as well as tricycles.

The police and traffic enforcers are also on standby to provide assistance to passengers and ensure safety on major roads, said Mayor Eric.
