Parañaque mayor welcomes Miss World Universe Teen International

Parañaque City - A warm and enthusiastic welcome was extended by Mayor Eric L. Olivarez as he received Bb. Marjorie Aniban in his office at the Parañaque City Hall this morning.

Bb. Aniban was recently crowned as Miss World Universe Teen International 2023 in a prestigious pageant held in Vietnam on May 26. Hailing from Barangay Moonwalk and currently a senior high school student at Olivarez College, Bb. Aniban has brought great pride and honor to her community.

During her visit, the city mayor congratulated the beauty queen on her remarkable achievement. Mayor Eric also mentioned the passing of a city ordinance in honor of Bb. Aniban, along with the provision of a financial incentive to recognize her outstanding performance.

In a special ceremony held on Monday morning at the Parañaque City Hall Grounds, Bb. Aniban was further honored during the weekly flag-raising ceremony. The event was led by Mayor Eric and Ms. Ate Aileen Claire Olivarez.

Attending the ceremony were District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, along with District 1 City Councilors Pablo Gabriel Jr., Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez II, Toki Baes, and Allen Nava Tan. Also present were District 2 City Councilors Tin Esplana and Atty. Jerome Bart Frias.

The warm reception and recognition extended to Bb. Marjorie Aniban by Mayor Eric and the local government officials demonstrate their commitment to supporting and celebrating the achievements of the city's residents, especially the youth who bring pride to their community.
