Parañaque sustains job programs and community initiatives 

Parañaque City - As a new week begins, the regular flag-raising ceremony was held at the Parañaque City Hall Grounds on Monday, overseen by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) under the leadership of Mr. Henry R. Leonardo.

During the program, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez delivered a message wherein he extended his greetings and commendation to PESO for their continuous efforts in providing employment opportunities to the residents of Parañaque.

Among the programs offered by PESO is the Mega Job Fair, wherein the office collaborates with various companies to offer job openings that can be filled by the city's residents. This initiative aims to connect job seekers with potential employers and facilitate employment opportunities.

PESO also administers the Government Internship Program (GIP) and Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) designed specifically for students in the city. Additionally, career guidance activities are conducted in schools to assist students in making informed career choices.

Moreover, through PESO, the local government will establish its own Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced (TUPAD) Workers program, which will be funded and implemented in the coming year.

Mayor Eric expressed his gratitude to PESO for its valuable assistance in realizing the city government's vision of providing livelihood opportunities to every resident.

Furthermore, Mayor Eric shared the successful completion of various programs and events from the previous week. This included the inauguration of new facilities at the Ospital ng Parañaque I, the implementation of the Passport On Wheels service at SM City BF Parañaque, and the health consultation event called "Kumustahan sa Kalusugan" held with senior citizens from Barangay San Antonio.
