Olivarez joins private schools' Palaro 2023 closing ceremony
This morning, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez graced and showed his support for the closing ceremony of the Private Schools Association of the Philippines (PSAP) Palaro 2023 held at the Parañaque City Sports Complex. The program gave recognition to the victorious students who participated in various inter-school tournaments such as basketball, swimming, volleyball, billiards, taekwondo, and more.
During the event, the mayor applauded the gold medalists or first-place winners in different sports contests, who will represent the city in a competition against the winning students from public schools in Parañaque. The winners of the said dual competition will be the city's representatives in the National Capital Region Palaro, and if they succeed, they will represent Parañaque in the Palarong Pambansa.
Furthermore, Mayor Eric emphasized the full support of the local government in conducting such activities, which he believes help the youth remain active and maintain a healthy body and mind.
The PSAP Palaro 2023 not only served as a platform for students to showcase their athletic skills, but it also promoted sportsmanship, camaraderie, and discipline among them. Through the event, the mayor hopes that the students will develop their potential and continue to strive for excellence not only in sports but also in other aspects of their lives.
