Parañaque mayor leads inauguration of Police community precinct
Mayor Eric L. Olivarez took the lead this morning in the inauguration of the Police Community Precinct 4 at United Parañaque Subdivision (UPS) in Barangay San Isidro. The city mayor also presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony, signifying the official opening of the precinct.
The blessing of the facility was led by Monsignor Mario Martinez of Our Lady of Unity Parish. According to Mayor Eric, this police station will contribute to maintaining peace and order in UPS 5 and neighboring areas. It will serve as a temporary holding facility for apprehended offenders but will not function as a detention center.
Mayor Eric emphasized that the Police Community Precinct 4 in UPS 5 is one of the eight police substations in the city. The local government of Parañaque continues to focus on improving each police substation throughout the city.
The newly inaugurated facility also houses the new office of the United Parañaque Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (UPTODA). In attendance at the program were District 1 Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez, District 1 City Councilor Marvin Santos, District 2 City Councilor Rico Golez, Parañaque City Police Station Chief PCOL Renato Ocampo, and Barangay San Isidro Chairman Noel P. Japlos.
Also present were UPTODA and Federation of Parañaque Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (FEPTODA) President Rodrigo C. Soriano, barangay council members of San Isidro, officials from various homeowners associations in UPS 5, and department heads from the local government of Parañaque.
